The Lower Republican Natural Resources District emcompasses south central Nebraska's Republican River Basin, including Furnas, Harlan, Franklin, most of Webster and part of Nuckolls counties. It is our job to protect, preserve and develop Nebraska's natural resources within the region.
The Lower Republican Natural Resources District is seeking applications for the full-time position of Water Resources Technician. Qualifications should include basic understanding of Microsoft Office, experience in natural resources, agriculture, or other directly related fields. The District currently participates and contributes to group health insurance and a retirement plan.
Job responsibilities include groundwater monitoring, chemigation inspections, flow meter maintenance and inspection, ultrasonic flow meter operation, data entry.

Water Meter Calculator App
This University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension iPhone app will help irrigators calculate the amount of water pumped by their irrigation pumping plant.
The Water Meter Calculator App allows the user to store data, such as field size in acres, flow meter units and allocation and annual irrigation caps for each field.
The app is available for download at the Apple App Store for $1.99. It is also available in the Google Play store.
